Who pays the transfer fees?
You do. We send your full commission: any transfer, currency-conversion or receiving fees are yours; we don’t cover them. You don’t need a Wise account: outside the United States we pay through Wise into your own bank account, and inside it by US bank transfer (ACH).
What do you need before the first payout?
A government ID (passport, national ID card or driving licence), a tax form (a W-9 if you are a US person, a W-8BEN if you are not, or a W-8BEN-E for a company outside the US) and your postal address. Before the first payout we also check you against US sanctions lists.
What if the business is already talking to you?
Then the introduction does not count. That is why you register first: the first partner to register a business is protected for 90 days, and for as long as the business is in talks with us or is our client.
What if a client gets a refund?
The commission on the refunded amount comes off your balance. If that takes your balance below zero, we recover it only from your future commissions: we never invoice you or ask you to pay it back.
Can I join the discovery call?
Yes. When you invite the client from the partner app, you get the invitation too. Joining is up to you.
Does it cost anything?
No. It is free to join, with no quota and no exclusivity. Refer as many or as few businesses as you like, and work with other companies too.
Can I join from anywhere?
From almost anywhere, if you are 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live, if that is higher), except Nepal: there, we work with businesses directly. Because of sanctions law, we also can’t accept partners from Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Belarus and parts of Ukraine. Partners in Syria can join and are screened against US sanctions lists before their first payout. In Quebec, you sign the partner agreement in French, and the French version is the one that binds you; everywhere else, the English version binds.
Am I an employee?
No. You are an independent, non-exclusive referral partner. You cannot sign anything on our behalf, you do not send bulk email or cold texts in our name, and you say you are paid when you recommend us in public.
Do I have to say I’m paid when I recommend you?
In public, yes. Whenever you recommend us in public (in a post, a review, a video, a blog or a newsletter), say clearly that you earn a commission for introductions to us, where people will see it: not only in a hashtag or behind a “read more” link. US advertising rules require it, and so do similar laws in many countries. A private introduction to someone you know doesn’t need it.
Can the partner terms change?
Yes. We can change the partner agreement with 30 days’ notice, by email and in the partner app, and staying in the program after a change takes effect means you accept it. A change never lowers the rate or raises the minimum for a business you already registered, and commission you have earned is never withheld. Every version stays readable, exactly as partners accepted it.
What happens if I stop?
Either of us can end the agreement with 30 days’ notice. Commission you have earned is still paid, and every business you registered before the end keeps its protection and its commission window, on the same terms. You just can’t register new ones.
